Keith Beam
Born and raised in Peoria, IL. Keith grew hunting with his father and two older brothers.
In 1987 Keith graduated from Southern Arkansas University. After playing in the NAIA College World Series, Keith then went on to play minor league baseball for the Cincinnati Reds.
Keith co-founded Double Bull Archery in 1995 where they redeveloped and basically revolutionized the hunting ground blind market. Keith and his partner sold the company to Primos Hunting Calls in 2007 and Keith worked for Primos until this past October when he accepted a position as Executive Producer of The Wild Outdoors TV show (on The Outdoor Channel) through his New Glarus, WI company, Mad Badger Productions. Keith remains an active outdoorsman, and enjoys hunting all over the United States and Canada, as a continuing part of Team Primos and a new member of The Wild Outdoors.
Known widely for being the guy who did the “land-on-his-head” backflip on video and walked away to tell about it, few people know that “Beamer” was the very first bowhunter to ever shoot all four sub species of turkeys IN THE HEAD in a single spring season on video.
Already a published author of poetry and contributor to several hunting magazines, Keith has now written a book titled, “That’s Going to Leave a Mark”. The book is not about his hunting exploits as may be expected, rather it is a humorous look into his many trips to the Emergency Room as the self-titled “World’s Most Accident Prone Man”. The profits go directly to the Ellis Foundation, a fund to help families deal financially with terminally ill children. The book has already received several positive reviews and is available on Amazon.com
